This Privacy Policy describes how Today's Fortune ("the App") handles information when you use the App.

Overview
The App is an entertainment app that generates fortune content. The App is supported by advertising. We do not require you to create an account. The App may use third-party services to provide content, security, and ads.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the App and your device settings, we (and our service providers) may collect:
- Identifiers : device identifiers such as IDFA (only if you grant Tracking permission), IP address, and similar identifiers used for advertising and security.
- Usage data : app interactions (e.g., which screens you open, button taps related to generating a fortune).
- Diagnostics : crash logs and performance data needed to keep the App stable.
- Content you provide : if you use the "Prompt Fortune" feature, the text you enter is sent to our backend to generate a response.
- Local app data : the App may store fortune history locally on your device (not on our servers) to show it back to you.
How We Use Information
- Provide and operate the App features (generate and display fortunes).
- Maintain security and prevent abuse.
- Serve ads and measure ad performance.
- Fix bugs and improve reliability.
Advertising & Tracking (ATT)
The App uses Google AdMob for banner and interstitial ads. iOS may show an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.
- If you allow Tracking, AdMob may access the IDFA to provide and measure ads, including personalized ads where available.
- If you deny Tracking, you may still see ads, but they may be less personalized and measurement may be limited.
Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services to operate:
- Google AdMob (advertising) and User Messaging Platform (consent flows where applicable).
- Supabase (backend API / Edge Functions and anonymous sessions for security).
- OpenAI (AI model provider used by our backend to generate fortune content).
These providers process data under their own policies. We recommend reviewing their privacy documentation.
Data Retention
We aim to keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Fortune history may be stored locally on your device. Service providers (e.g., ads, backend, AI provider) may retain logs for security, debugging, and compliance.
Your Choices
- Tracking : You can allow or deny Tracking when iOS shows the ATT prompt, and you can change this later in iOS Settings.
- Notifications : You can enable/disable notifications in iOS Settings.
- Delete local data : Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data on your device.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
